Overview
Have you ever seen a picture of Nepali ornate temples and stupas? Now it's your turn to be in the picture, as you will make a trip through time and unravel the rich history, art, and architecture that surround Kathmandu and Pokhara. You will also visit Sarangkot to enjoy the ultimate Himalayan panorama and join various activities. There can be nothing more magical than discovering the authentic Kathmandu Valley, leaving you entranced in this 6-day journey with the Himalayan charms.Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and transferred to the hotel. It’s only 6km from the airport to the downtown area. After a little bit of rest, you can wander around this old city by yourself. The colorful houses, a dazzling array of shops, and the bustling crowds will make you feel the enthusiasm of Kathmandu for the first time. In the evening, you can try the local cuisines.

Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing
The real start of your tour of Kathmandu is today. So, this is a big day for you. You'll soon get to discover the unique culture of this lovely city. Kathmandu is the capital and largest city of Nepal. Its most famous destination is, of course, the famous Durbar Square.
Your tour guide will stroll you along with the Kathmandu Durbar Square. This square is replete with amazing ancient palaces and temples. It is a showcase of Nepali architecture and culture. It is situated in front of the old royal palace, surrounded by great architecture that colorfully showcases the craftsmanship of Nepali artists of the past centuries. Here, you will see the palaces of the Shah and Malla Kings.
You'll also get to visit the Pashupatinath Temple, one of Hinduism's holiest places in the world. It is located along the riverbanks of the Bagmati River. This temple complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will be bewildered by the sprawling collection of ashrams, temples, images, and inscriptions.
Afterward, you can go straight to the Boudhanath Stupa, the world’s largest stupa and a UNESCO Heritage Site. Its massive mandala is very impressive. Then, you will see the Swayambhunath Temple, in the west of Kathmandu City. Its name, of course, means "self-existent. This temple is known for the monkeys that reside in the area. Hence, it is also alternately called the "Monkey Temple." The monkeys in this temple are playful and known for their notoriety; so be very careful in dealing with them.

Day 3 Flight: Kathmandu – Pokhara (25 mins)
After breakfast, you will take a flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival, we will pick you up from Pokhara Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Pokhara is a pleasant lakeside city and a popular starting point for trips in the Annapurna region, offering a comfortable place to relax.
In the afternoon, you will visit the World Peace Pagoda, a serene hilltop stupa offering panoramic views of Pokhara Valley, Phewa Lake, and the Annapurna range. It is an ideal spot to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and natural beauty. Then, head to the Pumdikot Shiva Statue, a towering statue of Lord Shiva set on a ridge overlooking the valley. From here, you can take in sweeping views of the mountains and lakes in a tranquil setting.
After that, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake, surrounded by calm waters and scenic landscapes. In the evening, you will witness the lakeside Aarati Ceremony, a traditional Hindu ritual with chanting, lights, and offerings, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere.

Day 4 Sarangkot Sunrise and Pokhara Sightseeing
Early in the morning, as the first light of dawn appears, our driver will take you to Sarangkot. After about a 30-minute drive to the parking area, you will walk up to the observation deck and wait quietly for the spectacular sunrise. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna range, including the majestic Dhaulagiri and the striking Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak), as the snow-capped mountains glow in the golden morning light. Paragliding in Sarangkot is also available upon request.
After returning to the hotel for breakfast, continue your sightseeing in Pokhara. First, visit Davis Falls, a unique waterfall where the water plunges into an underground tunnel. Just opposite the falls is Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, where you can observe the underground flow of the waterfall. Next, head to the Seti River Gorge, the most impressive section of the Seti River, as it cuts deeply through the city. With cliffs dropping more than 100 meters, the gorge offers a dramatic and memorable view. You can experience its scale from Mahendra Bridge. Later, visit Bindhyabasini Temple, one of the most important temples in Pokhara, dedicated to Goddess Durga. Located in the Old Bazaar, it also serves as a peaceful spot to observe local life.
In the evening, you may stroll around the Lakeside area, where shops, cafes, and restaurants line the waterfront.

Day 5 Flight: Pokhara – Kathmandu (25 mins)
After breakfast, take a flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Upon arrival, visit Patan Durbar Square, a historic royal palace complex known for its exquisite Newari architecture, intricately carved temples, and as the former residence of the Malla kings. Continue to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the best-preserved medieval city squares in Nepal, famous for its traditional brick-paved streets, ancient temples, and rich cultural atmosphere.
After the visits, return to Thamel. The rest of the day is free at leisure for last-minute shopping or relaxing.
