Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of iconic peaks, including Gaurishankar, Shishapangma, and the Langtang Himal, and pass remarkable lakes such as Khunmen Tso, Sinling, Karru Ongchen, and Peiku Tso (4400m). After breakfast, depart Saga and drive west through the open landscapes, passing grasslands, lakes, and distant snow-capped ranges between the Himalayan and Gangdise Mountains. Along the way, you may see herds of yaks and sheep grazing on the high plateau. The route passes through the small town of Zhongba before reaching Paryang, with wide views of the surrounding plateau and mountains. After several hours’ drive, the holy Lake Manasarovar comes into view, with Mount Kailash and Chiu Monastery on its northwest shore, surrounded by the majestic Himalayan peaks.

After enjoying a few serene hours by the sacred waters of Lake Manasarovar, with the majestic Gurla Mandhata (7,694 m) rising across the lake, we drive to Darchen. This small town serves as the starting point for the Mount Kailash Parikrama (circumambulation). The full Kora spans 52 km and is typically completed over three days.
Overnight at a local guesthouse
In the morning, you will drive to Yamdwar and start the Kailash Kora from there. Then you will meet your porters and yaks at Sarshung Valley (the cost of hiring yaks, horses, and porters is not included in the package). You’ll trek about 15 km from here to Drirapuk Monastery (4,700m) along the Lachu River Valley. During your trek today, you can see both the west and north faces of Mt.Kailash. Finally, you will visit Drirapuk Monastery and stay overnight here.
Overnight at Guesthouse, Dorm Bed
Today is the most challenging day of the trekking, you’ll climb over the highest pass of the Kailash Kora, the Dromala pass (5,630m). After a short rest at the top, we will climb down into the long valley and stop for lunch at the Shabjay Dakpo nomadic tent. On the way, you can have a rest in a teahouse. Then you will continue to the Zultulpuk (4,790m), built by two important religious figures, Milarepa and Naro Bonchung. At last, you will visit Zutulpuk Monastery. You will find the footprint and handprint of Milarepa inside the cave.
Stay overnight in Guesthouse, Dorm Bed
It's an easy day of the trek. You'll trek 12km to complete the kora. According to Buddhist theory, doing a kora around a holy mountain for one circle can get rid of sins and miseries for the whole life. Only after going through lots of hardships can you feel the happiness and gratification brought by Kora. After getting back to Darchen, you'll drive to Saga. This section provides the densest natural landscape and the wildest beauty of Ngari along the National Highway 219. You will experience the magnificence and loneliness of the "Roof of the World."
Overnight at a local guesthouse
Today you will be driving southward along the G216 National Highway. The altitude drops sharply from about 4,650 meters to 2,850 meters with varying scenery of alpine deserts to the Himalayan secrets with lush vegetation, very spectacular.
Overnight at Guesthouse
Drive to Gyirong Port in the early morning. You will exit Tibet at Gyirong Port, and then your Nepali driver will greet you on the other side of the bridge and transfer you to Kathmandu. Although the distance between Gyirong Port and Kathmandu is only over 160 kilometers, due to the poor mountain road conditions, it takes 7~9 hours from Gyirong Port to Kathmandu.
