Currently, you have the option to either take an overland trip or fly directly to Tibet from Nepal. If you choose the overland route, we will arrange for a car to drive along the Friendship Highway. This journey offers a unique opportunity to witness the changing landscapes, nature, and seasons, as the altitude gradually increases from Nepal to Tibet. The trip typically lasts a few days and covers key highlights in both regions.

Flying to Tibet is the most comfortable and convenient option. There are three weekly flights from Kathmandu to Lhasa on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The flight takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

First of all, you need to plan your travel time. The length of time depends on your vacation arrangements and the attractions you want to travel to Nepal and Tibet.

Secondly, you have to plan the means of transportation to travel into Tibet. There are usually two options: land travel or air travel. The most popular is to enter Tibet by land and then enjoy the sights all the way. Of course, you can also choose to fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa for comfortable experience.

Thirdly, you have to consider whether to travel in a group tour or a private tour. According to local laws, Tibet does not allow independent travel so it's necessary to work with a local Tibet travel agency. If you choose a group tour, you will join other people in a fixed-departure date, share the itinerary, vehicle, and tour guide, which will greatly cut down your expense.

Due to the differences in age, gender, and health level, the impact of altitude sickness on everyone is different. But for the sake of health, we recommend that tourists slow down to allow your bodies to adapt to higher altitudes, drink plenty of water and rest. Avoid strenuous exercise, and reduce your coffee and alcohol intake. In addition, your tour guide will provide professional and effective assistance in emergency situations. Mount Everest is located on the border between Tibet and Nepal, with Tibet in the north and Nepal in the south. The summit is in Tibet.

If you enjoy trekking, you may choose the south EBC in Nepal, which it takes 10 days to trek from Sagarmatha National Park to EBC and back. Along the way, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the snowy Himalaya mountains. But there is no direct bus to the south EBC so you have to trek all the way.

If you just want to have a glimpse of Mt.Everest, we suggest you go to the north EBC in Tibet, where you can arrive by car and the scenery will not disappoint you. Besides, this route saves your time and budget. After visiting the north EBC, you can drive to Lhasa/Kathmandu directly and continue your tours to Tibet and Nepal.
