Gyantse county is subordinate to Shigatse of the Tibet Autonomous Region. It is located in the south of Tibet, the east of Shigatse and the upper reaches of Nyang Chu River. The average altitude of Gyantse is about 4,000 meters, with a total area of 3,771 square kilometers. It is one of the famous historical and cultural cities in China, as well as a new tourist town.
