This is one of our best itineraries that cover main tourist sites in Lhasa city, but the most highlight of this tour would be one of the must-visit attractions holy Namtso Lake, it is a second largest saltwater lake in Tibet with an altitude of 4718 meters above sea level and acreage more than 1920 square kilometers, Tibetans look at it as one of the famous Buddhist holy lands.

Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa (3680m)

Taking flight into Tibet will give you a panorama of the snowy Himalaya Mountains or 1-2 days of train riding over the high plateau by crossing Tanggula Mountains with beautiful sceneries along the way. Once you arrive, our local Tibetan tour guide and driver will greet you at Lhasa Airport/Railway with traditional Tibetan white scarf to wish you good luck! And then transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day you will be free to wander around the city on your own but try not to overtax yourself. The first day's well-rest is crucial to acclimatize high altitude. Remember to drink lots of water, eat light, and not to shower if you can help it.

We are travelling to China from 19th May to 29th June. We are interested in a 6 day trip to Tibet, around the second week of June. We would like to travel to Lhasa by train from Xian to Xining for 2 nights to help us acclimatise to altitude, then on to Lhasa and to return after the tour to Xining. Can you help us with booking trains and with travel permit to Tibet?

Dear Sir or Madame,I am really interessted in doing a trip to Tibet. I am still in China and i would like to do a trip to tibet in July. My problem is i have just a student visa with a single entry. My question is if I enter tibet i thought i could book a flight to hongkong and after a few days in honkong i would fly back home to germany. but as far as i can see there are no non-stopp flights from Lahsa to Hongkong. And I need to konw if i am allowed to have a transit-stopp at a chinese airport again? Hopefully you can help me. Otherwise i think i am not able to do a trip to tibet.with kind regardsMax

Due to Tibet's unique background, apart from a Passport and a Chinese Visa, all foreign tourists allowed to enter Tibet must have Tibet Permits. We could surely get all your necessary permits to Tibet after your tour booked with us, we need your passport and China visa copies to apply for them before the tour starts. If you have a student visa, you need to provide a School certificate for applying for your Tibet permits. Please find the sample in the attachment. Could you send your Student visa and Passport copies to me by email?

As Tibet belongs to China, so you can enter Tibet from a China city, then fly back to Hongkong transit-stop at a Chinese airport again.

For our 6 days Lhasa & Namtso Lake Group Tour, it needs at least people to book if there is no traveler booked. Unfortunately, there is no traveler book this tour in July so far. So I recommend you join our 6 days Lhasa Gyantse Shigatse Group Tour in July,

For the Lhasa & Namtso Lake Group Tour you mentioned, we don't have departure dates on April 1st currenlty. And we are still not sure if April 1st will open to foreign guests or not as we are told to wait for the official notifications. So I suggest you don't choose the tour starting on April 1st at present. If you are intending to see Lake Namtso, you may join our Lhasa City Group Tour starting on April 4th, plus 1~2 days Namtso private tour before the group tour, then you can get back to Guangzhou on April 7th. Here's the itinerary,
