After breakfast, begin your full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, exploring a fascinating mix of historic monuments, lively markets and modern landmarks.
Start with Old Delhi, where you will visit Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques, and take a walk or rickshaw ride through the colorful lanes of Chandni Chowk, one of the oldest and busiest markets in Delhi. You can also explore the traditional spice market and experience the sights, sounds and aromas of everyday Delhi. Continue to India Gate, a prominent war memorial and one of New Delhi’s best-known landmarks. Then visit Humayun’s Tomb, an impressive Mughal monument and an important precursor to the architectural style later seen at the Taj Mahal.
End the day at Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world and one of Delhi’s most remarkable historical landmarks.
Stay overnight in Delhi
After breakfast, drive from Delhi to Agra, the former Mughal capital and home to India’s most iconic monument.
In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the world’s most famous monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the monument is celebrated for its elegant white marble architecture and intricate decorative work.
Stay overnight in Agra
After breakfast, depart Agra and drive toward Jaipur, with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a historic Mughal city built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. Often called the ‘City of Victory,’ it is known for its impressive palaces, courtyards, and grand gateways. Continue to Jaipur, the colorful capital of Rajasthan, often known as the “Pink City.” The arrival in Jaipur will depend on the time spent at Fatehpur Sikri and traffic conditions.
After checking in at the hotel, you can relax or take a short walk around the local area.
Stay overnight in Jaipur
After breakfast, transfer to Jaipur Airport for your flight to Varanasi. The journey usually takes around 4.5–8 hours, including connections, depending on the flight schedule.
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and take some time to settle in. In the evening, if time permits, head to the banks of the Ganges to witness the Ganga Aarti, a traditional Hindu ceremony in which priests offer prayers with oil lamps, incense, and rhythmic chanting. The ritual creates a memorable spectacle of light and devotion along the river. If your arrival time does not allow for the ceremony, it will be arranged later in the itinerary.
Stay overnight in Varanasi.
Rise early for a sunrise Boat Ride on the Ganges River, one of Varanasi's most memorable experiences. Watch the city awaken as pilgrims perform morning rituals, worshippers offer prayers, and daily life unfolds along the ancient riverfront ghats.
After the boat ride, explore the old city's narrow lanes and visit the area around Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of Hinduism's most sacred Shiva temples. Continue to Dashashwamedh Ghat, known for its religious ceremonies, and Manikarnika Ghat, one of Varanasi's main cremation ghats, which holds deep significance in Hindu beliefs about death and liberation.
Stay overnight in Varanasi
Visit Sarnath, one of Buddhism's most important pilgrimage sites, where Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Explore Dhamek Stupa, the remains of ancient monasteries, and the Buddhist temples that reflect the site's rich religious history. If the museum is open, visit the Sarnath Archaeological Museum to see its notable collection of Buddhist sculptures, including the famous Lion Capital of Ashoka.
Return to Varanasi in the afternoon. Spend some time exploring local markets for traditional silk textiles, handicrafts, and souvenirs, or enjoy some free time to experience the city at your own pace.
