Hi A friend of mine and I are planning a visit to Tibet as part of our Nepal trip. We are planning to be in Tibet 22/23 November to 26 November (3 or 4 nights) We will be in Kathmandu from Thursday 16 November. A few questions: - With regards to the Tibet Visa, is it possible to apply for an expedite process and what is the pricing? We are arriving in Kathamandu on Thursday 16 November, so can be at the Chinese embassy on Friday 17. Ideally we would like to take a flight on Wednesday 22 morning, as we would like to extend our stay in Tibet to 4 nights and 3 full days - Wednesday 22 to Sunday morning 26 - Can we purchase our own air ticket from Kathmandu to Lhasa? - If we can extend to 3 full days, what would the program? We would like to do a day sightseeing outside Lhasa (either Ganden monasteries or a day of trekking/biking etc) - In Lhasa we would like to take care of our own dinner (if possible), so can you please quote full price without dinner specifying what is included in your price thanks Fabio

Dear Fabio Cecutto,

Yes, it's possible to apply for an expedited process for your Tibet entry permit(Tibet visa), it's free of charge if you could book your Tibet tour with us.

Yes, you can purchase the air ticket for Kathmandu-Lhasa yourself. And yes you could take care of your meals yourself as well : )

According to your schedule, it’s not suitable to do any trekking or biking tour in Nov because of weather condition, so here I'd like to suggest you take our 5 Days Lhasa & Ganden Monastery Tour or 5 Days Lhasa & Yamdrotso Lake Tour on 22nd Nov, I will email you shortly the itineraries & prices of both tours.

Dear Elizabeth Rosic,

I'm happy to hear that you are interested in joining our 5 Days Lhasa & Namtso Group Tour but we usually don't arrange traveler to visit Namto Lake after Oct due to heavy snow, based on our past years' experience, it starts snowing from earlier Nov, so I highly suggest you join our 6 Days Lhasa Gyantse Shigatse Group Tour or 8 Days Lhasa Gyantse Shigatse Mt.Everest Group Tour on 11th Nov(arriving date)? No matter which one you join, you will be back to Beijing before/on 18th Nov.

Dear Dang Thi Ngoc Nhung,

You are required to apply for individual China visa at Chinese embassy in your country before coming to China, you travel to Tibet as a foreign traveler, Tibet Entry Permit is the most basic document required to be applied before your coming, we have been recommended by Lonely Planet as one of the best reputed local travel agencies with over 10 years Tibet tour running experiences for both domestic and foreign travelers, so we could surely get all your necessary permits to Tibet after your tour booked with us, we need your passport and China visa copies to apply for them from Tibet Travel Bureau usually 25 days(shortest 12 days) before tour starts and get them for you usually in 7 working days.
