* Due to the special nature of Tibet travel, any unforeseeable and unavoidable objective circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, riot, civil commotion, strikes, public health emergencies, government action, major traffic jams, delay or cancellation of flight/train, attractions temporarily closed. etc., resulting in a change of itinerary, the increased cost will be paid by travellers; if any attraction visits have to be cancelled due to the same reasons above, GTT won't be held responsible for a refund except certain attraction entrance fee which will be solely decided by GTT.

* Single Supplement: our quote is based on twin rooms. For single travellers, single supplement is required at the time of booking. If later we manage to match you with another traveller to share the twin rooms, the single supplement will be refunded.

* The accommodation conditions on Everest is kind of basic due to the geographic and climatic situation. As we try to bring you the best tour experience, the double room of Rongbuk Monastery guesthouse will be our first choice for you to stay overnight there. However, there are limited numbers of those rooms, which are not accepted a reservation in advance, especially during the peak tourist season. Thus, when the standard rooms run out, we would arrange all the group members to stay in the multiple bedded rooms of Rongbuk Monastery or the nomad tent at EBC tent area. Both of them provide dorm beds only. If you don’t want to share the room with others, you could pay the price difference of the vacant beds.

* All members of the same group must be with the same tour guide during the whole trip. So all members must follow the same itinerary and visit the same attractions. If anyone requests to change the scheduled arrangement for own reasons, you need to get permission from other members and accept the possible payment change if any.

Hi! I am very interested by this tour, departure on April 11 (or April 15) I am already in China, so I have a valid Chinese visa, but I am not sure to understand how it works for the Tibet’s permits. Is it include in the tour or do I have to take care of it myself before the departure? And is it to late for April 11? Thanks for answering my questions, Camille

In your inquiry, you mentioned you are interested in the 4-day Lhasa city essential group tour with the departure date on April 11th. April 15th is not a fixed departure date till now. To be frank, there's no much time left. If you book it now, we need to apply for your Tibet Travel Permit and express the original document to your city, therefore you can board the plane to Tibet with the file. Could you please confirm soon?

In your inquiry, you mentioned you would like to stay at Everest Base Camp on June 30th, 2019. We happen to have the Everest Base Camp tour starting from Lhasa on June 26th, through which you will get to EBC on June 30th.

Also, you mentioned you would travel from Perth Western Australia, I'm wondering if you go to mainland China first then Tibet? For your next destination Kilimanjaro, I'm afraid we can't arrange it for you cos we are just the experts of Tibet tours. What we can do for you is to provide you a cost-effective Tibet tour and all the related documents.

Before I quote you, could you please kindly let me know the following info?
1. What's your nationality?
2. What kind of accommodation would you like to stay? The comfortable (4-star) or the economy class (3-star) hotel?

I would like to answer your questions one by one,

1) Do you cancel tours if there are not enough people? ,,,what if there are only 2 of us?

We will not cancel the tour once there's any confirmed booking. If there's only 2 of you, we will still depart as scheduled. Currently, the group tour on Oct.7 has not yet been booked, if you want that departure date, please confirm your booking at least 3 months prior, therefore we have time to recruit other travelers to share the cost.

2) what are examples of 3-star or 4-star hotels your agency use that we can check pictures of online

Sure. Here's the list and related URL,

  3-star 4-star
Lhasa Gang-gyan Lhasa Hotel

Gang-gyan Lhasa Hotel (VIP tower)

Shangbala Hotel

Shigatse Hotel Manasarovar Shigatse

Tashi Choten Hotel

Gesar Hotel

And of course, if you want, you can point to some desired hotels and we can book it for you with agency price.

4) can we hike a little bit on our at the Base Camp (what time of the day do we arrive at the EBC?);

Yes. You can hike around the Rongbuk Monastery. When you arrive here, it's about 5:00 pm of that day. So you will see the sunset and sunrise of Mt. Everest. It will get dark at 8:00 pm.

5) How cold can the weather get in October in Lhasa vs EBC ( we are from Colorado, USA)

Here's the temperature range.
