As one of the biggest private international travel agencies established in Lhasa licensed by China’s National Tourism Bureau, years of experience taught Great Tibet Tour how important it is for travelers to have a trusted resource you can rely on before/during/after your tour in Tibet. Check our office information here below. Please feel free to drop by and say hello to our staffs any time.

Great Tibet Tour’s headquarter is situated at Zhaji Road of Lhasa, near Zhaji Temple. Our boss, Jimi Zhao, the founder of Great Tibet Tour, graduated from Southwest University of Science and Technology and got the master degree in Tourism Management at Sichuan Normal University. After his graduation in 2001, he came to Tibet as a volunteer in the middle school, taught students English. In the spare time, he would like to go to the local tea house, asked for a bottle of yak tea and chatted with the travelers all around the world. In this way, He widened his eye and decided to dedicate his life to Tibet tourism. Later he worked in a travel agency and started his own business.

He always believes that one of the most important things for a business is honest and keeping his words. Just like T. Roosevelt said, it is better to be faithful than famous. At his effort, Great Tibet Tour successfully passed a hard time of 2008 and 2012, during those periods, many Tibet tour operators and travel agencies had to close their business or go bankrupt. But we survived, we overcame the difficulties and we gained more customers. So far, we serve more than 1,000 overseas travelers every year and we are the local tour operators of over 30 world&China-renowned travel companies such as Spring Tours, Ctrip, etc. we are not famous, but we are trustworthy.
