documents we need for the tibet tour? Are the passport and China visa enough? If
you have China ID card, you do not need any special permit. If
you have Hong Kong ID card and the permit to mainland of China, you do not need. When
you travel to Tibet, if you did not hold china ID card, you need not only valid
China visa but also Tibet permits,
such as TTP permit, PSB permit, if you are going to the unopen area, you are required
Tibet military permit. All

you enter Tibet from Kathmandu of Nepal, you have to apply for China visa again
even you have already had the China visa in your country according to governmatal

5.What
kind of currency used in Tibet? All
of the people in Tibet use RMB (CNY), some of the hotels and shops accept the
USD, for convenience, you'd better change your money to the local currency (RMB).
You can also just take the travelers' check to Tibet and then go to the Bank of
China in Lhasa to change it. When you change thetravelers' check to RMB, you need
not only the check but also your original passport and signature. By
the way, it is no problem if you tip the waiter, guide, driver in US dollar.

7.Altitude
sickness and how to avoid it? Altitude
sickness
is also called Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), it is quite normal to get altitude
problem, especially for the persons who come to Tibet for the first time. The
typical symptoms of AMS are dyspnoea, lack of Oxygen, light-headed and even headache. Of
course your health condition is a very important factor. If you do not have problem
with your lungs and heart, and you did not catch cough or cold before you enter
Tibet, probably you will not get altitude sickness at all. There
