Tibet Tourism Reopen Now!

After the smooth one day relay of Olympic torch in Lhasa city, Tibet tourism market will reopen on June 25. And all the legal travel agencies based in Tibet can arrange the Tibet Permit.

Tourism to Tibet was halted after the March 14 riots, and one month later, Tibet tourism reopenned on May 1st to the residents from mainland of China, HongKong and Macao. Undoubtedly, Olympic torch's smooth relay made people's confidence come back, especially, for the foreign tourists. Most of them would like to see Tibet with their own eyes, feel Tibetan culture and religion with their own soul.

All the foreign travellers to Tibet still need Tibet Permit, one is Tibet Entry permit, one is the Travel Permit, if you go the military area, you need military permit. Before applying for the permit, please fax or e-mail your passport and China visa to your travel agency, they need those documents to arrange the Tibet permit.

BEIJING, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Tibet's capital, Lhasa, will soon re-open to foreign tourists, with the date to be announced after the Tibet leg of the Olympic torch relay on Saturday, local officials told reporters here on Wednesday.
